The secret sauce to Yurbi® is the Yurbi App. The Yurbi App is an easy to understand representation of your data, whether it's in a database, an excel file, or on a web site. Think of a Yurbi App as a translator, where end-users create reports using the Yurbi App and the Yurbi App handles all the technical stuff such as knowing how to speak to the database and how to request information from all the various fields, table joins, and data conversions. What's the best thing about the Yurbi App? Well, it's the same process of reporting for end-users regardless of the data source. This greatly reduces the learning curve from users when they have to access info from multiple sources.
Easy to Use
You don't have to be a database administrator to build a Yurbi App. We've simplified the process by providing a drag, drop, and click web interface. We've also provided many web resources like how-to videos, online documentation, and a best practices guide to get you started. Once you have connected Yurbi to your data source, building an App is a 3-step process:
- Design Your Report Types - Typically, this will be a business term, that users will immediately understand when they see it.
- Model the Database Tables - Associate the database tables related to this business term and go through the Yurbi Join Wizard to link the tables together
- Create The Reporting Tree - Build the checklist of fields that you want users to have access to from those tables for the report type.

Yurbi knows how to talk to data. We support connectivity to Microsoft® SQL Server, Oracle®, MySQL®, and any other database that supports ODBC. You can also import data files such as Microsoft® Excel or Text Delimited files directly into Yurbi for reporting. Yurbi can even talk with data in existing Software as a Service (SaaS) or other web-based applications, by building a Yurbi App for their web services interface. Once connected, Yurbi puts you in charge of the data.
Easy to Manage
Data sources often change--whether it be an application upgrade or a new business requirement. So Yurbi makes it easy to manage those changes. All Yurbi App changes are made in the same interface described above, so there is no need to learn a new method of making changes. Once built, the Yurbi administrator can quickly go through the web interface to add security policies and grant access to the new Yurbi App for rapid deployment.
