Limit the Number of Key Performance Indicators
A business’ success is determined by how certain key performance indicators, or KPI, are doing when analyzed. New business owners, or those that are overeager to measure their success can make the mistake of choosing too many key performance indicators. Choosing too many key performance indicators can lead to inaccurate data readings, confusion, and a misleading opinion on how well your business is doing.
Limiting the number of KPIs allows everyone involved with the business to have a clear set of goals, and know exactly how success will be determined. To avoid confusion and the potential for inaccurate data, a business owner needs to sit down and determine two or three clear, measurable items they will use to determine the overall success of their business.
